![]() So what you're saying is the jaggedness coming from those screenshots are coming from a third party application? ![]() What do you mean by conflicting in rendering style and how would I fix that? I figure shadows work differently dependent on the game, Maybe at some point I'll just have to give windows another clean reinstall and see if that helps a bit more. If you were seeing physical problems with your video card you wouldn’t just be seeing mediocre shadows. I’ll still say though, it’s not your physical gpu. It’s really not easy to precisely pinpoint what is the root cause of the problem because it can be dozens of things. Shadows can also just work differently across games and different shadow rendering methods between gpus. Seeing stuff like this across all sorts of games though is pretty normal, and not every game has tools in place to mitigate it. ![]() Something to also note here is that a lot of people complain about specifically RE3’s weird lighting that doesn’t always work great. ![]() In this case with the shadow quality up that high and all the anti aliasing settings cranked, you’re likely seeing some conflicts in rendering styles depending on what is doing the lighting. This isn’t a gpu issue regardless, depending on the game and settings use, lighting can be determined by the cpu or gpu. ![]()
